This is an unofficial list of things to do, as details may change from year to year. Read the emails from the Undergraduate Medical (UGME) Office and check out their website for the most recent updates!
We are also hoping to host a webinar in June/July to answer questions and will have some banks to discuss their Line of Credit and banking options!
1. Complete and submit the necessary administrative paperwork to the UGME (official website link here for more details):
Accept your offer and pay the $1050 non-refundable deposit (due by the stipulated deadline in your offer letter)
- Submit your final transcripts (due June 30th)
- Various personal information and Communicable Disease Screening forms (due July 17)
- Local Criminal Record Check for Vulnerable Populations (due July 17)
2. Submit O-Week Registration & Payment.
Information will be here when we know a bit better what is happening in the fall!
3. Set-up your queensu.ca email account.
- Log-in using your NetID (aka SOLUS login) & password at http://outlook.com/queensu.ca
- Many students choose to forward this email to an email they check more regularly.
- It is important to ensure that you check this email as it will become the primary way in which the School of Medicine and University communicate with you.
4. Submit a photo of yourself for the student card.
- The Registrar's Office will send you an email to your queensu.ca address with detailed instructions.
5. Pay your tuition by September 1 and student fees by September 30th. You pay half of the tuition in September and half in January.
- Check the Registrar's Office Handbook for detailed information.
- Generally, Queen's credits your student account with any opt-outs or sources of financial aid (e.g. award or bursary).
- If you are unable to make your tuition payments by Sept. 1st (receiving OSAP or an out of province student loan, etc.), be sure to follow the instructions on submitting an Alternative Payment Arrangement.
6. Plan to be back in Kingston/Oshawa for Orientation Week, which commences August 24th
