Coffee Shops

QMed loves studying at coffee shops on the weekends or when we need a change of scenery. Here are some of our favourites:

Crave (166 Princess Street)

A QMed favourite - located in the heart of Kingston, Crave makes great coffee and even better baked goods. They are famous for their cinnamon buns and cozy atmosphere for studying! But it can get quite busy here, so be sure to arrive early so you can secure a seat.

Balzac's (251 Princess Street)

Cute study spot with decent amount of seating, good iced lattes and free wifi. You’ll be sure to always find a classmate studying here on the weekends!

Juniper Cafe (370 King Street West)

With its immaculate vibes and gorgeous waterfront view, Juniper cafe is one of a kind! They have delicious baked goods and amazing mochas! However, on busy weekdays, they have a no laptop policy from 11am-2pm, so keep that in mind.

Sens (136 Ontario Street)

Amazing coffee and close to SOMB. However, there is limited seating for large groups.

Columbus Coffee (297 Princess Street)

Smaller cafe that is not as busy as crave or balzac’s and has plenty of window seats. Columbus has decent coffee and you get a discount for being a student.

Common Ground ("Cogro") (284 Earl Street)

Student led (AMS) coffee shop on campus, located right in the ARC. Good coffee and meal options.

Starbucks (95 Princess Street / 121 Division Street / 259 Princess Street)

With three locations downtown and just north of campus, Starbucks is a student favourite. Great atmosphere and coffee.
