Santur Brewing - 177 Princess St
Santur is a recent addition to the Kingston scene. A wide selection of craft beers, good food, and the occasional live music/performance makes Santur a great choice.
Stone City Ales- 275 Princess Street
Stone City is a recent addition to the Kingston scene. While they are a bit more expensive than other pubs, they offer a more laid-back, "hip-esque" environment. Great for a casual pint of their home brew.
The Grad Club · 164 Barrie Street
Located in a renovated Victorian House, the Grad Club offers general pub fare with some flare, and an amazing selection of microbrews. Medical students are members, which entitles us to a 10% discount on food, and the ability to book the third floor for private meetings. They also have a great patio. As if all of this wasn’t enough, the Grad Club also plays host to indie bands on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Grizzly Grill · 395 Princess Street
This place is more popular with the older crowd. The main floor of the Grizzly Grill has ample seating for dinner, a full service bar and a small dance floor at the back. The second floor is littered with pool tables. We usually end up here for events throughout the year or on a regular weekend night out!
Red House · 369 King Street East
Frequently (and inaccurately) called Red Door and Red Room, Red House is a semi-frequent destination for members of Queen's Medicine. Catering to a more 20-somethings type crowd than some of the places in Kingston, Red House is perfect for those nights when we feel a bit more mature.
The Merchant Tap House · 6 Princess Street
The Merchant has a nice patio and live entertainment on most evenings. They offer fine dining in a pub atmosphere and carry a large number of imported beers on tap. At noon on workdays they also offer a soup and sandwich bar.
Queen’s Pub · John Deutsch University Centre
Affectionately called the QP, this place is a great hangout in the JDUC. The patrons are mostly undergrad and grad students. Lunch and dinner are tasty and reasonably priced, although service can be very slow the first few months of the year. With that classic university pub type feel, Queen's Pub has been a tradition on Queen's campus for decades.
Tir Nan Og · 200 Ontario Street
This Irish Pub is a popular stop on Wednesdays and Thursdays when drinks are more affordable. They also fire up the karaoke machine on Thursdays. This is probably the best place to be for St. Patrick’s Day, when they close the street and serve copious amounts of green beer and Guinness.
