Student Feedback

To ensure that our opinions reflected that of the general medical student body, we initiated a voluntary survey of the 2012 and 2013 classes. The survey asked them to report on the success or failures of various techniques that had been employed by faculty and staff during our medical education at Queen's.

Students were asked to rate the success of different uses of technology by selecting one of 4 options:

  • Worked well
  • Didn't work, but has potential
  • Didn't work
  • Did not use

Tech use was divided into 4 categories;

  1. communication methods,
  2. document sharing resources,
  3. preparatory course materials, and
  4. self-assessment tools.

Additionally there was 1 multiple choice question on the ideal amount of prep time for classes, and there were 3 open-ended questions at the end on what has worked and what we would like to see in the future.
