My name is Philip Harvey and I have some suggestions for you when you are considering incorporating an online learning tool into your lecture or course. By online learning tool, I refer to everything from the eLearning Modules and Bates' Clinical Skills Videos to virtual patients or even virtual worlds. There are thousands of these learning tools available freely on the web designed specifically for a medical education. You can think of the Web as your toolbox for technology. You want to pick the right tool for the job, but your skill in using it is equally important. To help you with your tool selection, I am presenting you with a checklist of 5 questions to ask yourself before launching it on your students.
