On June 18, 2010 the Health Sciences faculty held their annual symposium "A Celebration of Teaching" with the theme "Technology in Education".

Nan Gai and Philip Harvey, from Queen's Medicine Class of 2012, were asked to be part of a 3-member panel (including Kaitlynn Dewhirst from Rehabilitation Medicine) that would present a student perspective on the use of technology in Health Sciences education at Queen's. The 30-minute presentation was well-received by the audience, and Dr. Sanfilippo asked the panel to put together something he could present to all Queen's medical teaching faculty. The result is this e-Learning module.
