- Type 2 Diabetes, diagnosed in 2000 by her family doctor, managed with oral medications. She does not check her own blood sugars. Her HbA1C is done every 3 months by her family physician and usually her values are in the 0.090 range.
Complications
a) Peripheral neuropathy – bilateral feet
b) Coronary artery disease with myocardial infarction in 2006, managed medically; ejection fraction 55% in 2009
c) Chronic kidney disease with eGFR approximately 30 mls/minute
d) Cataracts – both removed
- Dyslipidemia
- Hypertension
- Chronic leg ulcers since 2007
- Chronic venous insufficiency edema
- Atrial fibrillation – on warfarin
- Macular Degeneration – dry
- Fibromyalgia, diagnosed 2006
- Osteoarthritis – hands and knees
