"Jane" is brought by the paramedic service to Middleville County Hospital, approximately 5 km from the accident site. She arrives at the hospital at 0300. That night, the Emergency Room of the small hospital is staffed by Dr. Orson King (a Family Physican with Emergency Medicine training) and two registered nurses, Martha Tennant and Mark Singh.
