In addition to the traumatic, infectious and arthritic conditions, pediatric orthopaedic surgeons monitor and treat a wide variety of deformities of the musculoskeletal system. In this module, you will be introduced to some of the more common and/or significant non-traumatic conditions encountered in day-to-day pediatric orthopaedic practice.
Numerous and varied etiologies may cause a child limp or exhibit other differences of gait. These include congenital, infectious, traumatic and developmental conditions. This module will address the most common causes of altered gait in a child, with a particular emphasis on conditions that benefit from prompt identification and early treatment.
