First of all, ask yourself if this online learning tool will enhance your students' clinical reasoning. This is really the Holy Grail of medical education, and it should apply equally to the use of technology in medical education. While it may seem to you that we prefer to be handed facts to memorize and regurgitate, we know that ultimately we must be able to transfer that knowledge and apply it in novel clinical settings. If you can find a tool that helps us develop that ability, or gives experience in doing that, it would be extremely valuable and appreciated. That said, it is very difficult to find such a tool, and even more difficult to create one that does this effectively. So we can set our sights on more modest goals...
