Health and Human Rights Conference 2008 - From Intentions to Actions: perspectives on global health

Rationale:

The goal of this conference is to encourage students, faculty, and members of the community to explore and challenge ideas in the fields of global health and human rights. We invite everyone to join this discussion, and believe that our commonalities as global citizens can help bring us together to share and explore our diverse knowledge, perspectives, and interests.  We also hope that all participants will come away from the conference with a renewed passion for the things we can all do in our daily lives to promote the ideals of global health and human rights.  To help accomplish these goals, the conference will include speakers from Canadian faculties of Political Sciences, Women's Studies, Law, Philosophy, Urban and Regional Planning, International Development Studies, Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Education.

This will be the 3rd annual Health and Human Rights conference at Queen's University. We are proud to build on this tradition with ambitious improvements, including the expansion of our target audience and an even greater variety of speakers and topics. We hope that you will join us as a part of this unique and exciting event.
