Clinical History
Patients describe sensory abnormalities in different ways. For example:
1) They may describe it as an absence or reduction in feeling such as:
- The affected part feels numb/dead/thick
- Objects feel coarse
- They can’t tell temperature
- They can’t feel texture
2) They may describe it as altered function such as:
- They can’t hold on to or pick things up
- They have difficulty walking at night
- They have to watch feet while walking
