Drug Web Sites
Internet Drug Resources

On the Internet you can find relevant and authoritative information about prescription, herbal and over-the-counter drugs. (Remember to apply the CRAAP or similar checklist when evaluating web information.) The Internet is particularly useful for information about new drugs. For example, if you cannot determine the patent date for your drug, look for the date when it was approved for use. Two excellent web sites to search for approval date information are the U.S. Food and Drug Administration site and the Health Canada site. Furthermore, these two sites provide up to date drug advisories and warnings.
For selected Internet drug information sites, go to the Pharmacology subject guide.
