Case 4
A 30 year old female presents to the emergency department with a painful swollen wrist after a fall. She landed in such a way as to hyperextend her wrist. There is normal sensation and capillary refill distally. She has limited range of motion of her wrist and is very tender on the dorsal aspect of her wrist just distal to Lister's tubercle. Her radiograph is provided below.
Question
The patient probably has:
A fracture of the triquetrum.
