Creating a Narrated PowerPoint
Using a PowerPoint with narration is a great way to present foundational learning material traditionally delivered in a lecture to students in a secure and efficient manner. Adding narration to your PowerPoint files does not require any additional software and all you need to get started is a quiet room and a microphone. Once the narrated presentation is converted in to a web-based format (a free service provided by the MEdTech Unit) it can be accessed by students regardless of time and location, allowing them to prepare for in-class session and to review material afterwards.
Some examples of Narrated PowerPoint presentations:
- Fetal Growth Abnormalities by Dr. Graeme Smith
- Focus on Disinfection - Janet Allen
- Antibiotics by Dr. Lewis Tomalty
- Cardiomyopathy by Dr. Anthony Sanfilippo
Instructions for Creating a Narrated PowerPoint 1. Add narration to your PowerPoint presentation 2. Send your PowerPoint file with narration to MEdTech
3. Distribute web address of presentation to students
