Overview

This module outlines the stages of team development, highlighting the transition from a group of individuals to a cohesive and high performing team. Knowing what to expect allows participants to be better prepared to navigate the challenges and opportunities at each stage.

Objectives

Upon completion of this module, the student will be able to:

  1. Identify five stages that occur during group development and recognize the indicators associated with each stage
  2. Propose solutions to common issues that may arise when working as a team
  3. Describe the structure and elements of a team-based learning instructional unit
