Look at the three arcs formed by the articular margins of the carpal bones in the PA view. Disruptions in these arcs are suggestive of subluxation or dislocation of one of the carpal bones. Note in the PA radiograph of the wrist below that arcs 2 and 3 are disrupted. This is because there is a dislocation of the lunate bone.
